David P. Melamed, MD, is an internationally renowned hair restoration specialist and recognized innovator in both surgical and non-surgical hair restoration. Actively participating at the forefront of hair loss and replacement research, Dr. Melamed is the first physician in Los Angeles to adopt the ARTAS iX robotic technology hair restoration.

Our mission is client satisfaction and guaranteed results by using the best treatment options that are proven to be effective to restore hair. Dr. Melamed is a senior lecturer and course director for the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine. Since 2008 he has developed new treatments protocols implementing stem cells, PRP, and laser biostimulation, in combination with surgical hair restoration. As medical director of West LA Hair, he has established a practice specializing in both surgical and non-surgical hair restoration options. Dr. Melamed has the highest standards of care and personally oversees every patient’s personalized care from initial consultation through performing the procedure, and post care treatment.

The ARTAS system utilizes the Harris SAFE™ System (Surgically Advanced Follicular Extraction) for follicular unit extraction (FUE) and implantation. Your Time

The Hair Restoration Program is tailored to each patient.

  • - PRP Therapy is completed over a series of 4 treatments separated 1 month apart. Each session requires 45 minutes of time, and no downtime.
  • - Stem Cell Therapy is completed is completed as a single visit. A treatment session requires 45 minutes of time, and no downtime.
  • - Robotic Hair Transplantation is completed as a single visit. A treatment session requires a full day commitment. You should rest the next day.

Should you have constraints that prevent you from making such a commitment, then we can offer an alternate treatment schedule.
